Our Causes
A glass of Silk Soymilk contains a whole lot more than just eight ounces of super-nutritious goodness. Welcome to the world beyond the soy bean – where taste, integrity, better health and environmental responsibility rule.
In 1996, Silk® Soymilk not only set out to make an environmentally friendly food but also to make a difference. We believe that a better world is closer than you think, and are doing our part to make that happen. Here’s what we’re working on.
Events
Silk Soymilk proudly sponsors a variety of charitable, environmental and health events. See our event list.
Silk Soymilk has been a supporter of Farm Aid since 2002 and the title sponsor of the annual Farm Aid concert since 2003. We believe in demonstrating ongoing support for Farm Aid's mission to keep family farmers on their land. Learn more about why we support Farm Aid.
Wind Power
We take our commitment to your health and the environment seriously. At Silk, we’ve offset all of our energy consumption with wind power. This prevents over 16,000 tons of greenhouse gasses from entering our atmosphere. Silk has a rich history of supporting renewable energy and was a pioneer as America’s largest non-utility purchaser of renewable energy credits in 2003. For four consecutive years, Silk was recognized with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partner of the Year Award and consistently named to the EPA's Top 25 list.
Environmental
Silk Soymilk cares for the environment by supporting farmers and traditional farming practices, which reduces pesticides in the air, soil, water and food. See what Silk is doing to help our environment.
Partnerships
Silk is partnering with Reverb, a non-profit environmental organization that helps "green" music tours while educating and activating concertgoers to live more sustainably. Since 2004, Reverb has reduced over 27,000 tons of CO2 on over 50 major tours reaching over 4.6 million fans. We're happy to announce that we will be a part of the Reverb Eco-Village on this summer's Dave Matthews Band tour. Visit www.ReverbRock.org.

Silk is a member of the Soyfoods Association of North America, (SANA). SANA is a soy industry organization that provides information about the health benefits and nutritional advantages of soy consumption to consumers, health professionals, researchers, media, government officials, and industry partners.
